Description
This is a portrait of Penelope Cruz. I drew this from a photograph featured in a Loreal lipstick advertisement in the April 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine.
The materials used include a regular pencil (not #2), and Crayola coloring pencils.
Not to get stuck up, but I just love how I blended the colors (brown and black) in the hair to make it look accurate, and how the colors are saturated to show value . I must admit that the nose is a bit to low, making Cruz's head seem longer, but I tried to put more space between the jaws to correct the error. I also may have to blend the brown in the eyes with more black to make them as dark as Cruz's so it will look more accurate.
This portrait was drawn and colored just this past Friday (May 29, 2009).
PLEASE COMMENT!

I love how you did the eyes and the nose (you're right, it is a bit too low, but I completely can't draw noses, so it's very good) and the mouth, the teeth look really good as well; when I try to draw portraits teeth look like some lines inside the mouth ^^
and I have few advices with drawing:
eyelashes should be closer to each other, they aren't just stright lines
shading, you can easily see the lines, wich doesn't look nice and the differece between the shades is quite huge, someone told to use watercolours, that's a good idea!
but the overall look is great!
mostly because I can't draw portraits
and the last thing...
crayola colour pencils are the best!
